SNEAK PEEK: Jemila's Bedroom

With literally hours left until our first day of filming, we present to you -- Jemila's bedroom! This lovely set will be the backdrop for our main character's very own fairytale. We would like to thank the entire JT crew, live and virtual, for all of their help in bringing this "imagined space" to life. Lights, camera, ACTION!!

UPDATE: Set Construction!

What a busy couple of days!
Weeks of planning has brought us to SET CONSTRUCTION WEEKEND.
And what a weekend it was.  I would like to take the time to thank Christina, Ayshea, Kelly, Alex, Amy, Kristyne, Lisa, Cynthia, and Thomas for a productive weekend that saw a realization of the bedroom where Jemila's fairytale will take place.

Announcing Jemila!

The Jemila's Tale production team is pleased to announce that local elementary school student Cynthia will be starring as Jemila in the upcoming Ithaca College thesis film, Jemila's Tale.

This is Cynthia's first appearance in a film, but says she is very excited for the experience.

PRODUCTION UPDATE: Art Direction, Jemila's Bedroom.

Greetings from Ithaca College!
I wanted to share some of what our art direction team, led by art director Kelly Paul with Jess Hock and Amy Obarski, has been working on in preparation for set construction next weekend.
The set we're designing for Jemila's fairytale bedroom will be constructed in an Ithaca College studio in the Park School of Communications.  We're using flats to form the walls and constructing "furniture" out of cardboard to create the visual style of a pop-up book.

Announcing Danielle Hendrickson: Editor!

The Jemila's Tale production team is excited to announce that Danielle Hendrickson will be joining the production team as Editor.  Danielle, a recent Ithaca College cinema and photography graduate brings her knowledge, enthusiasm and editing expertise.  "Playground," Danielle's Thesis film, screened at the Ithaca College Park School of Communications in May 2010.
